If you dig old school sneakers than you must have bought a pair of the Onituska Tiger Ultimate 81′s at some point. Along with the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 DX’s these are my favorite lightweight sneakers. While it’s been super popular to put on a pair of chucks or of pf flyers I’ve always stuck with my Tigers. I like the white/black/yellow color setup, because they got that World Cup feel to them.

I’ve always been a big fan of the Onitsuka Tigers, and the Mexicos are a classic design. If you’ve never laced up a pair of Onitsuka Tiger shoes then I would suggest starting with these, as it takes some getting used to. Unlike your Nikes, the soles don’t have that much padding, but the shoe will feel a lot lighter and you will get used to amount of padding. This is my favorite colorway with the black and yellow, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the variations.
